Saltwater Farm brings a touch of Provence to the North Fork with a one-of-a-kind lavender and flower farm experience in Riverhead. Inspired by owner Anne Cynar’s childhood summers in the lavender fields of southern France, the farm is centered around a distinctive sun-dial-shaped lavender field, with rows radiating across the landscape and varieties selected to create blooms throughout the summer. Beyond the lavender, visitors can explore an orchard of more than 500 peach, apple and pear trees, a native meadow, seasonal flowers and a charming farm shop filled with lavender-inspired goods, treats and refreshments. With plans for experiences including sunrise yoga, sunset drinks and special events overlooking the fields, Saltwater Farm is becoming a beautiful new place for locals and families to slow down, enjoy nature and experience something distinctly different on the East End.
